I have (un)officially dubbed it Lady Gaga Day after the fiercest video I have seen in a long time...aka her video for Bad Romance...was released today. I was completely blown away after seeing the video; the Alexander McQueen outfits/shoes, the concept, her hairr, makeup, and everything else.

This morning I had Bad Romance on repeat for 2.5 hours before I finally switched over to the rest of the Gaga catalog. I changed my icon on livejournal, which i never do because it's an icon of my fabulous brother that many people know, because there were some amazing icons of the video that I kept finding.

~~If I could find a video that I could embed that wont get deleted I'll put in this post but it's super impossible.~~ Found one. Let's see how long it stays up though :/

She's not an actor, so I wasn't expecting her to be amazing.

Yes, we know she basically calls people out in songs she writes about them. Do I care? Should I care? NO. She still brings up Joe Jonas and she did it in her monologue. Granted it was slightly annoying but it's SNL, you bring shit up to laugh about. I don't know what happened in their relationship but I don't care. Do I need to bring up bias opinions about it? NO. People are still pulling the card and complaining about it. GET OVER IT.

Her performances were great. She did You Belong With Me and Untouchable (love it, but I would have loved if she did Jump Then Fall....my jam) There were the spots of "yikes, she should have it that not3 lower or something", but were they completely horrid? No.

Most of the skits were great; the Parents driving PSA was hilarious. Her monologue was great, the Kate Gosselin skit was chuckle worthy but more like an um, no. the Penelope skit was amazing, the bunny business was great (I was dying with her Shakira impression), the Hollywood Dish skit was ok, I really only laughed with the the Kristen/Bill's face thing, Scrard Straight was lulzy, and the roomies skit was slightly creepy, but overall I think she did great.

She's young and some of the things she does is annoying, but she's WAAY for likable than other young stars.

We arrive to the Fillmore early in hopes of being front row, hoping to find no one with the same idea.

DEADED MOMENT #1. There are about 12-15 girls there already that beat us to the punch, most of which looked like they were 10 years old. Although we were a bit bummed, we figure it's cool and if we need to we will push to the front..after all, this was the ~hometown so for Kati, Xochitl and I, we need to represent. The first three hours went by as slow as possible. After a few high-stake games of High School Musical 2 UNO between myself and Kati(who I must say brought her A-game) while we waited for Xochitl to come back from talking to Jackie, we played some classic tunes on her iPod.

*With the magic of computers I make hours pass and its 6:00*

After putting all of our stuff away we return to our spot standing in line. The girls in front of us saving our spots (one in particular was out for blood to get the ~cutters) and informed me that they were trying to get the girls that OBVIOUSLY CUT (in her words) in with Jackie out of line since they have all been there is whatever time in the morning and were not about to let some cutters take their spots inside. YES THIS WAS REALLY HAPPENING. Somehow one of the random girls told security and managed to get them removed from the line. Next up came the crazy girl with green pants who says she was right behind the Blonde group with roses that remembered Xochitl from the Mitchel mall thing in Sacramento about a month earlier. Someone else also told on her and wanted her removed from the line. Homegirl made a HUGE fit about people saying they wanted to shoot her if she got back in line and that she was really behind the blondes (WHICH SHE WASNT) how she should get to go back to where she was because she didn't care if she was in the front she just wanted to get in. Yup, she just made her whole argument invalid. A lot of the girls (including mothers) that were in line in front of her trying to tell the guy that she was farther back/lying, including Kati who schooled green pants' ass, but he decides to pull fast one and dead everyone by telling everyone to be quiet or he wouldn't let any of us in. He also decides to let green pants and her crew have their spot in line.

After about another hour of waiting, we were minutes away from being let in. I was already annoyed with the all of the tattle-tailing, crazy fans by this point I was ready to go. The Fillmore's first problem was they didn't have only ONE LINE for everyone getting in but decided to have clusters of girls standing off to the side of the line. Xochitl was up with Jackie since she was going to save Kati, her cousin Kaitlin and myself spots in the front. Kati, Kaitlin and I were about 10 people behind her in our original spots. Once they moved the line to check bags and let people in...all hell broke lose; girls from behind us were screaming and PUSHING to get in quicker. Everyone was thrown forward, groups were being split, people were falling and getting hit. One girl that got pushed even knocked over a few of secuirty's motorcycles and cut her leg. Although I got split up from Kati and Kaitlin, I made it in the doors before they cut people off from going inside. I have ever experienced that in LA before at a HS show or any other show for that matter. It was honestly one of the worst experiences of my life so far.

After standing around for another hour squished together of people complaining, (yup, still complaining about anything and everything) Emily Osment finally came out. Emily really wasn't that bad. A few of her songs were definitely catchy, but her voice was definitely was not working that day. During the second song, she asked for her mic to be turned up but after the song ended they turned it back down. :/ Her band was great. The sad part was that once she introduced her band, the fans were constantly yelling for the pianist Brady and guitarist. When they were packing up, Brady decided it would be ~cool to toss a water bottle to the fans, which caused shifting, squishing and chaos. NICE ONE BRADY

DEADED MOMENT#2
WHile we are waiting for Honor Society some girl (who turned out to be one of the blondes with roses )behind me thought it was cool/convenient for her to rest arm on me. FUCK NO. JUST BECAUSE I AM SHORT DOES NOT MEAN I AM A GD ARMREST YOU DUMB BITCH! I ripped my arm out from under her before she did it again. I was pissed, I turned around and told her to take fucking arm off and not to touch me again.

By this time it is almost time for the HS to come out but Xochit's cousin is contemplating if its worth her getting hurt by standing in the front. She finally decides to leave since she has a meet and greet and I take her spot against the barrier. They crew is putting the set list down and we after getting a picture with Kati's camera, we can read it and she they are doing more than the 9 songs we thought, including Why Didn't I? and cover of The Kink's You Really Got Me. Xochitl and I proceed to flip shits. I was excited already to be in the front since I have never been in the legit front row for a GA show, but for this HS show to be my first was amazing. Granted I had to keep shoving bitches back every once and a while, it was incredible to be right in front. During the first song, Alex saw us, I pointed at him and he pointed right back with his drumstick. The three of us were dancing like crazy, singing along and just having fun. Along with the fun came the an awkward moment with pedo Michael. (although he did look really good last night, he was still creepy) All I could really do was smile and look away. BARF. Kati got a few of those looks from him too. DOUBLE BARF. We jammed out to the cover song, had to turn away from the girl next to Kati who caught Alex's towel and proceeded take a deep inhale of it and wipe her face with it, to go crazy during the whole "She said 'I noticed you noticing me", I said 'Who's the guy?'" part, body rolled until no end and screamed our heads off. At one point Xochitl turned to me and said Alex would not stop looking in our direction, which I hadn't noticed due to rocking out. Finally when we realized that there were only two songs left, we decided to get his attention for drumsticks. Right before Over You, a miracle happened. The following reenactment is a rendering of my memory. I can not confirm or deny what was done by Xochitl since a) I was not looking at her b) trying to get the child's attention

Our conversation:
Me: *a wave*
Alex:*tilts head slightly*
Me:*playing invisible drums followed by a "me and her(xochitl)" hand movement*
Alex: *insert two second OK with follow with an "I got 'chu" head nod*
Me: High School Musical in air jump in my head

Once I realized he understood I rocked out to See U In the Dark and waiting (sadly) for the show to end. Alex grabbed three drumsticks, bowed with the band, tossed one to the right side of the stage and came our way with the last two. He tossed one and it fell, picked it up tried handing them both to Xochitl. She grabbed a hold of one and the other fell.

DEADED MOMENT#3
The drumstick that fell coincidently fell on top of my own bag and was hoping to get since I asked Alex for both of them for Xochitl & I, was snatched up by the D-BAG security from earlier and handed off to someone else. Kati thankfully ended up getting Jason's set list from the roadie who was giving it to her to it lower to the ground so she could get it. After re-grouping a bit, we went to find the line for merch so we could buy stuff for the meet n' greet. After waiting in line for merch for less than a minute, we find out we are standing in line in front of the girl the D-bag gave the drumstick to. Apparently she made him ~swear to give it to her before the show. We come to find out you have to buy a shirt or a $60 hoodie to get the M&G. NO thank you. Xochitl went to find her cousin while Kati and I waited in the lobby for her to come out. She came out and told us Honor Society was telling certain people to wait off to the side so they could possibly meet them after the regular meet and greet. She went back in to find Jackie and after the another rude security let her go back in, Kati and I try but no we get deaded. He said he would rather we didn't go in to look for Kati's "cousin"....fuckin' rude.

We decided to run to the car for sweaters and drinks before coming back to wait by the HS car. They come out sign stuff, take a few pictures, and leave. We don't get a chance to tell them amazing show and goodbye.

Although the craziness outside went down and we didn't get to say goodbye, it was still one of the most amazing shows I have ever been to. I really need to make this trip happen...

Tell me where you were on September 11th.

It was Sophomore year. My friends and I had just gotten to our third period advanced English class only twenty minutes before. We were doing writing sample warm ups in groups; each one of us would write a short essay about a subject and we the rest of the group would correct and critique. A few table groups including mine were already done so we were chatting. The loud speaker for the school came on and our principal at the time, Janet Olson, told us what was happening. Two flights bound for California had been hijacked and one of them (at the time literally) just crashed into the North Twin Tower. As Janet was continuing her news, my English teacher, had turned on in-classroom television to the news. We watched, completely horrified yet attentive. I remember even hearing a few kids softly crying. We watched the news until class was over.

All we did for the rest of the remaining three classes was sitting in class and watching the news. A handful of teachers throughout campus that day even had a small discussion groups going on in the back of the classrooms so students had the option to talk about what was/had been happening throughout the day while others watched the coverage.

Normally during lunchtime, everyone would be outside sitting with fellow classmates, and enjoying lunch. Lunch that day was completely different. Kids were sitting quietly eating lunch, staring off into space, Some kids were whispering quietly to others, some were on their cell phones trying to get a hold of family that was visiting/residing in New York. Others were eating lunch in classrooms, continuing to watch the new coverage.

Classes after lunch that day were cancelled.

We I got home from school, the TVs in our house were all on different new channels. Although this wasn't happening to me and in California, I remember being completely sad and angry this had even happened.

I asked my mom to cut my hair since I'm currently being super stingy with my money. I told her where to cut it and everything, and I was happy with where it was to be cut. KEYWORD=WAS. She cut my hair to the length of the shortest layer I asked for.

I really hate it.

I know I should not be upset over hair but it sucks.

For me it's like a personality thing. You hair is part of you. You have it the way you want it. You do/style it in ways that represents yourself. Cutting it basically all off when that wasn't the original plan is like taking part of who you are away and never getting it back. You have to grow with what you have now. And that sucks.

It's July. July 1st. I still can't believe it.

I know that I say "the year has gone by so fast" basically every year, but this year feels so different. It feels like it was January last month. I don't know, it's just completely strange to me.

Tour starts in about a month. I'm really excited but there is part of me that still wants it to be months away. Maybe because it will be my last big trip for a very long time or maybe it's because this will be the last time I see them for a really long time. I guess I just have to make the most of this whole trip.

Either way, I can't wait for next month.

First Farrah and now Michael Jackson. A true icon in the music world. I'm still completely shocked and refuse to come to terms with his death. Just starring at the words 'Michael Jackson is dead' is heartbreaking and unbelieveable.

Jackson was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center this afternoon by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Fire Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home at 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and took him to the hospital, Ruda told The Times.

Updated at 2:46 p.m.: Jackson is in a coma and his family is arriving at his bedside, a law enforcement source told The Times.

Pixar grants girl's dying wish to see 'Up'

HUNTINGTON BEACH – Colby Curtin, a 10-year-old with a rare form of cancer, was staying alive for one thing – a movie.

From the minute Colby saw the previews to the Disney-Pixar movie Up, she was desperate to see it. Colby had been diagnosed with vascular cancer about three years ago, said her mother, Lisa Curtin, and at the beginning of this month it became apparent that she would die soon and was too ill to be moved to a theater to see the film.

After a family friend made frantic calls to Pixar to help grant Colby her dying wish, Pixar came to the rescue.

The company flew an employee with a DVD of Up, which is only in theaters, to the Curtins’ Huntington Beach home on June 10 for a private viewing of the movie.

The animated movie begins with scenes showing the evolution of a relationship between a husband and wife. After losing his wife in old age, the now grumpy man deals with his loss by attaching thousands of balloons to his house, flying into the sky, and going on an adventure with a little boy.

Colby died about seven hours after seeing the film.

I haven't made a entry here in forever. I've been busy. What have I been doing?

1. Working. Barf, but it has to be done to live

2. Watching the 2009 NBA basketball finals. I started playing basketball when I was 7 all the way up to I was 17; it's basically in my blood. I have also been ~banned from watching the finals at one of my friend Eric's house. Apparently I get to aggressive towards the television? IDK, that's what I have been told.

3. Catching up on season finale weeks. For some reason I got busy and stopped watching all my shows, essentially missing all the season finales of my normal shows. I'm almost done catching up on them all. I just have Greek left. I'm 3 weeks behind. :/

4. Doing crosswords. I've done the crosswords from the back of the People magazine issues for a long time but recently I've been looking around for all of the Peoples around the house to do the crosswords o.0 Again, idk.

5. Weaning myself off my computer. It's nice to go days without the internet.

6. My oldest friends' wedding. This was big. Everyday for the last two weeks in May I was busy doing something for the wedding. It's stressful I tell you. If I ever get married, I'm getting a planner. The wedding was beautiful, I had a great time during the day of and the rehearsals and I enjoyed all the drinking of free alcohol.

Can we please discuss the season opener of Jon & Kate Plus 8 last night?

I spent the whole hour cringing from the awkwardness and feeling sad for those poor kids. If that isn't sad, I don't know what is.

"For all the nasty and stupid reality shows I have seen over the years, I have to say this one did leave me feeling like I was looking in on something that I shouldn't be watching," he writes.

"What I saw was two people in over their heads, with one of them trying in her incredible arrogance to act like she knew what she was doing -- and an off-camera voice playing the melodrama of these lives for all it was worth," says Zurwik. "The kids mostly got lost in all of that."

Says EW's Tucker, "It's going to be interesting to see how the series settles back into its weekly half-hours of family outings and squabbles -- to see if that's even possible."

The show in all honesty after seeing the opener last night, the show seems to be a deliberant exploitation of the children. Although the well known information that has been aired to the public about about Jon and Kate's marriage, the children seem to be most obivous ones caught in the fire. I adored watching the show during the first few seasons, although my inital hesitantion of liking Kate after all of OCD cleaning and verbal abuse (it could be a little rash but that's basically what it is) towards Jon always interfered, the interaction and the growth of the 6 children and their older sisters was so fun to watch.

Alas, now it's not. The premiere focused more on the poignantly clear dysfuntion between Jon and Kate and less on the children, whom we were hoping to see more of, especially since it was their birthday episode and all. Now the so-called affair, (and I only call it so called becuase I am not involved nor do I know what's false or true) possible open-marriage, and painly obvious hostility between the spouces has seem to taken over the show.

The most gut-renching part of the episode? At the birthday party Alexis was hugging her father, saying how much she missed him and how she didn't want him to leave anymore. So sad. His reasoning? Work although it has been known/speculated for a while that he does not live at home anymore.

It has become unbearable and awkward to watch their dysfunctional marriage finally begin to really come apart and more importantly see the children.

I for one won't be watching this show anymore. I am not even going to comment on how Kate wants two more seasons.

The past few days of my life in a nutshell.....

First off...I'm not sick anymore. After being sick for over a week, I was able to get better in time before LA with a whole week to get my system back to normal.

On Saturday I went to San Francisco to see my friend Aaron and go the Lady Gaga show with him. He got us tickets to see her a few months ago and her music is so addicting I couldn't pass it up, even if the show was at the Mezzanine. Now I don't mind shows there because it is a pretty cool place, but its basically like the House of Blues on Sunset; they will cut you if you take a camera/recording device without a photo pass. So any chances of me taking pictures out the show went out the window. I was completely ok with it as soon as she came out and opened the show with Starstruck. She is crazy, but amazing. I really need to see her again, she puts on an incredible show. After the show, we went to the bar right a block away from Aaron's house and had a few drinks. It was a qt little bar and it had a great vibe with chill people. I need to go back next time I visit him.

Today was the day I had been dreading for a while.... the first presale for the Jonas summer tour. WHAT THE FUCK JONAS?! You didn't give me a code because I had reached my limit? No, it was more like ~~you~~ Johnny Wright just wanted my money. (FYI If anything that goes wrong with Jonas that doesn't seem to be directly their fault..I blame Johnny Wright...ALWAYS. This was a foreshadowing reason for me to yell "Where's Justin?!" at the 3d movie premiere.) Anyway, I continued to try my luck just to see what ticket I could get if I tried buying a bundle too. On the second try I got section 3, row 17 seat 1 AKA right next to the catwalk. As of right now, I'm going by myself since I only got a single ticket. I'm currently scared for my life; possibly coming out minus an arm or something from the crazy teens. I was talking to Becca earlier and we decided that if Rob were to get in my way at any point to take some shots, we'd start a gang fight. I think it could quite possibly be the most amazing thing to say that your first arrest happened at a Jonas Brothers show because you started a gang fight, lol. If anyone wants in, let me know.

As well as the presale today, I learned Mark Hoppus was just here in the Bay Area at the Skywalker Ranch...which is not far from my house at all. I went there a good while ago when I was still in high school to do an taping for MTV. (When TRL was still around they did a live taping at the Skywalker Ranch.) I was slighty sad since Mark is rad and it was only about 30 minutes from my house.

Although its only Monday, I'm ready for it to be Saturday. I'm ready for a vacation and to see my socal friends again. Also, I'll finally get to officially met Cat in person! :) I made a to-do list of sorts of what I want to do while I'm down there. Hopefully I want to do some of it while I'm down here next week or in the very near future...

TO-DO LIST:

1. Go to a badass thrift store to find some new plaid shirts & hopefully a pair of these

do NAHT hate, these are so fly.
2. Go to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store. I really want to get a bracelet or two of these.

Marc is one of my favorite designers. I love watching his documentary. I also love the fact you can get some of his specialty items that are not only legitimaly awesome, but cheap too.
3. Walk around town in my Ninja Bear shirt...you know, a ~tourist to tourist-y things
4. Head to the Santa Monica pier. I see it on tv all the time but I have never been.
5. Drink wine on the beach and watch the waves crash in.
6. Sit by someone wicked awesome at the Kid's Choice Awards. (I'm going to be a seat filler at the show..LOL I KNOW.)
7. Casually run into Honor Society somewhere.
8. Have drinks with Honor Society..(that one really is a long shot but you never know)
9. Run into the most random person ever.
10. Just have an awesome time :)

Also I just saw this new trailer for my bb John Krasinski's new movie. It looks really cute! NGL, I'm really digging mountain man John. ILH :)

I still have updates coming from my week in LA, but right now all I can really do is lay around and drink liquids. That's right folks, I'm sick. I caught something (according to my timeline) on Wednesday and no symptoms seemed to surface until they were wicked bad on Thursday evening. I went to work on Friday since there was paperwork that needed to be done and they sent me home.

IDK..lol. Right now all I can do is watch movies, read, rest, sleep, and drink a lot of fluids. My body aches trying to do anything so I really haven't tried to do much. I just really want to get better before I leave for LA. I'll be going to going to Disneyland with my friends for Cat's birthday and seeing my first Honor Society show. I'm excited :)

Oh and Marc Jacobs makes so my qt things! I really want to make a stop at his store while I'm down there and check it all out.

CARPET:
Taylor Swift & Miley Cyrus both looked amazing. Their dresses were flawless; Miley in a one shoulder an Taylor in a Empire Grecian..too bad they were both BLACK. It's all about colour ladies!

The Jonas Brothers looked fresh. You could say this a bias comment but Nicholas looked the best out of the brothers. I would have to say that the best dressed Jonas was Denise. Can you say MILF?

John Mayer looked amazing. The black jacket he wore was great, and even the peek of purple we saw even better. I just wish he would have opened his jacket a bit more.

THE PERFORMANCES/SHOW:
So we all know that Justin & Al Green performance was the last-minute filler for Rhianna, but I must say it was a great filler.

U2 was very indescribable? Why? Honestly, I had my head at a tilt the whole time trying to figure out what was going one. They did their new boots song and I spotted Bono with guyliner once he pulled those shades off. I couldn't stop starring at his shoes. :/

Jennifer Hudson won the first award. I was all smiles because she was clearly emotional during the whole thing and was thanking her family (present and in heaven), it was actaully quite moving.

Carrie Underwood's performance was intresting. You would forget that she's a country singer, until you listened to her lyrics, then you remember. There was so much going on, I couldn't handle it. The highlight of her performace was actually her femaile guitarist who shredded it a few times.

The Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder were good. Nick flubbed the words during Superstition but looked flawless. Kevin has the new Dark Fire guitar but I was creeped out by his closeness to Stevie. Joe looked pretty good, minus his necklace.

John Mayer, BB King, Buddy Guy and Keith Urban tribute was amazing, but so short. I wished it would have been longer.

Taylor and Miley's joint rendition of Fifteen was qt, but I kinda felt like Miley outshined Taylor. Although I really dig Taylor's latest record, I don't think her voice it strong enough EVER during live performances. I really want Miley's top during her performance.

Kayne, T.I., Jay-Z, MIA, and Lil Wayne's Swagger Like Us was great. MIA was performing on her due-date! She's looked like she was about to pop but whatever I guess. I'm still not too sure what her part had to do with the Swagger performace. IDK, IDK

Radiohead's performance with part of USC's marching band was one of the best of the night. I love 15 Steps.

Coldplay & Jay-Z: Subtle and too the point. I loved it. Plus Guy<3

Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl were great. Sometimes I find myself forgetting that Paul plays the bass..lol.

Justin & T.I.: Another one of my favourites of the night. It does help that I adore the song.

Neil Diamond! I can't say enough about this man, and the fact he did Sweet Caroline was perfection, but was it just me or did he just kinda yell the words?

I told had a talk with my parents about moving to Los Angeles at some point during the second half of the year. They were a little shocked, but okay with it. My dad even informed me that when I move out, I have access to endless amounts furniture for my future home. So whoever I live with (if I have a roommate) we'll be set. My plan was to stay here until the end of summer, around September, to keep earning more money, then my parents would help me move down there.

This was all merry until today when I read my email.

A few of the classes that I have that were to start next week have been cancelled and are now only available in the fall. Talk about a slap in the face. Basically this mean I won't moving until the end of this year or the very beginning of next year. I guess the only upside to this is that I can save more money.

It's still a downer though.

So I'll have that many Alexzanders? Elton found me :)

Today was my first day back to work in about two weeks. It felt good to be on vacation with all of my lovely friends and spend time with them all the while not having to work, but it feels weird being back now. I was going to go to Amoeba today with Xochitl, but work came first and we were swamped today. :/

While at work, I came across a livejournal post that X happened to post before she left for Amoeba. Since I was bored today at work, I did it. Basically you went to this link, and put in your name alongside a guy's name to see the results of your ~children's names. Some of them made no sense and some of them were very 'aww' worthy. During my lunch I decided to go the local vinyl shop since I wasn't able to got Amoeba with Xochitl today. My intention was to go back for Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road since I didn't get it last time I was there and I regretted it. Once I got in there I came across some gems: Michael Jackson's Thriller, a in fantastic condition of Purple Rain and Elton's Madman Across the Water, which has Tiny Dancer on it. I was looking for two copies, but only came across one. It hadn't even been in the store long since the price tag said it had been there since the end of Dec.

I picked up 6 records for just about $20. Although I didn't go to Amoeba, today was a good day.

So I officially lost my phone. I haven't been able to find since the day we went to Disneyland. I know I didn't lose it there since I couldn't find it even before we left. Honestly there wasn't anything on it that was "OMG!" worthy. I just wish it didn't happen. :/ I'm in no rush to get a new one though since I don't live off it.

However once I get a new one, I have a feeling it will show up...just like it always happens.

It's already December. I honestly can't believe it, since I feel like it's gone by so fast. Let's face it, I'm pretty sure that I say that every year...lol oh well. ANYWAYS...Christmas is fast approaching and I'm pretty excited. Aside from the whole country being in a financial crisis and a lot of Americans cutting back on the whole ~Christmas thing in general, I just love the season and everything that comes with it; the snow that we don't get here in norcal...the lights...everything.

With my Christmas list only consisting of a new Macbook (which I am buying myself since I've been saving and wanting one for a about a year now) and vinyl, I told my parents that I don't need anything. I can see some of you making faces, thinking "Is she serious?". Well, I would like to be known that I am completely serious. I don't need anything else; I have an amazing family and the best set of friends, some which I have offically meet this year and even though they haven't been part of my life for that long, but I couldn't even see my life as remotely amazing without them.

It is possible for people to be happy without asking for hundreds of useless things. Maybe in a few days I'll post my vinyl list just for S&G...

I'm so sad the weekend is over...dnw that.

For those who don't know, I flew down to the LA area to meet up with Kelly, who flew in for Florida, Becca and the other Vanessa. We were all road tripping down to San Diego to see the Jonas Brothers, Honor Society and Demi.

Kelly and my seats were awful. We tried to upgrade, but sadly we came up dry. As we made our way in, we saw some empty seats a few rows back from the catwalk so we stayed there for Honor Society's set...until 'See You In The Dark' aka my jam when the people who were apparently sitting there came, causing us to head to our original seats..which were horrid since we all had single seats. During the set break, we went to see if we could find Kat from Honor Society's crew to see if they were doing a meet and greet and again, we came up empty. We grabbed some drinks and a bathroom break before heading back into the arena. We went through the front of the stage and ended up walking right by Vanessa..and empty seats next to her. I asked the man who was with his teeny tiny son if we could join our friend since we were all seperated (Becca was on Nick's side..five row) and he agreed. There are so many nice people in the world..I love it. I made talk with the lady next to me..who turned out to be wearing a Twilight shirt, told her about me almost going to the rPattz thing in San Francisco, and Jonas, duh. We ended up seeing Kat while waiting for the show and she told us they were trying to put together a M&G after the show. She said she was going to tell us if it was for sure going to happen. We got excited since Becca and I were hoping to meet Noyes. We managed to stay in our new spots there for the show, which was awesome. the seats were pretty much about the same from where we were watching Honor Society but instead of dead center, more off to the side. We got a great angle of the catwalk.

The show was amazing. We all got drenched in foam since we had no idea they were bringing back the foam guns from the summer tour. I made a joke right after I saw how bad we all got hit; "I got hit with Joe Jonas ~jizz. He could have at least bought me a drink," which they seemed to find amusing. The little girl in front of us, Kory, was the one who got to go up and sing Gotta Find You with Joe. She was so excited and happy when she made it back to her seat..lol.

After the show we went, to the side to see if we could see the Jonas' band and Honor Society. Becca wanted to give Ninja Bear this rad bracelet that was made for him if we found him. We knew we weren't going to see the Jonai since they bolt right after majority of the time, but all the little fans didn't believe us (lol,the parents did)but again we came up empty. A band, Eye Alaska, walking around asking people to listen to their music and if anyone was interested in buying their record. Becca told them she had remembered them from a ATL event a few days before, and they got all excited that they were remembered. We finally gave in and decided to give them a listen. After a few minutes, I asked, "Do you have anything faster?" The very qt bass player Chris chuckled at my question, said yeah and changed it. I guess he and Vanessa found it funny as they watched my facial expressions while listening to the song. What can I say? I really have to listen to the lyrics, choruses, and bridges a few times before I can give my honest opinion of it. I told them I'd buy their record if they signed it...and they did. As they were signing my cd, security was kicking everyone not talking with the band, which was everyone else, out since it was time to go. Needless to say all the little biter fans left noticed I was buying a signed cd from them and decided that in order to stay they should do the same thing. I knew I should have recieved commission for all those cd's they should that night. We got a picture with Chris and Becca got one of the whole band holding the NinjaBear myspace fansite sign.

Once we got back to the hotel, we had some drinks and food. Kelly was out within a few hours and after looking back Vanessa, Becca, and I decided to check out the photos we got and the video of Jonas and Honor Society together. We definitely got some great shots and the video came out so ridic. After being up for so long, the three of us(Vanessa via laying in bed) watching Honor Society videos. Maybe it was the lack of sleep or the fact it was four in the morning, but we decided to invite Honor Society to go to the San Diego zoo with us tomorrow before bed.

The next day, we packed up and headed to the zoo. I had always wanted to go to the SD zoo after hearing how great it was. We saw a girl who could seriously have been mistaken for Demi Lovato from the back, but it wasn't. We took lots of pictures of the animals and had a great time before heading back to Becca for the night.

I will leave out the shenanigans that took place in Becca's room, but let's just say I was a magician since I made a lot of liquid vanish. Becca and I had Vanessa take a lot of pictures of us so..yeah.

I am now currently sitting in the Ontario airport waiting for my plane to leave.I already miss Kelly, Becca, and Vanessa. Such a good weekend. I have a new love for Honor Society and Jack from ATL. I guess I'll just have to wait to come back and visit them in December hopefully. On the plus side I just found a leaked copy of Britney's CIRCUS so I'll download that when I get home.

Maybe I'll post some pictures later..idk, idk.

Oh and Honor Society needs to do a gig or two up in NorCal after my after-Christmas Disneyland and New Years trip...basically early Jan.

Vegas weekend!

My pre-Vegas trip was nice. My birthday was Wednesday and I did the quiet family dinner since I was going to fly to Vegas to see Jonas the next night.

Thursday came and went and I took a short flight over to Vegas. I met up with Crystal a few gates down and after getting our bags, we headed over to her house. Her family was great and really sweet.

Friday was the day of the show. After doing some major slacking on the 'quickly getting ready', Crystal and I headed down towads the strip for some needed food. Our poison of choice: In N Out. Now there are a few here about twenty minutes away and unlike most of the college kids, I have it every blue moon since I really don't get it's hype. After eating our lunch, we headed down towards the main part of the strip.

This being my very first time in Vegas, I took it all in..even if it was during the day. There were so many people everywhere, but I guess that's what should be expected. I have to say it was pretty cool though. After driving around a bit, we made it to Planet Hollywood where the Justin Timberlake & Friends concert was going to take place that night, which Crystal and I were planning to attend.

To kill time and in hopes of possibly seeing a Jonas or two, we walked around the shopping mall within Planet Hollywood. When we came up empty on the Jonas front, we decided to head over to Urban Outfitters to do some shopping. On the way there, we noticed some commotion around a closed shop. It turns out Rihanna closed down the store so she could shop. I couldn't really see her since she was in the dressing room apparently.After some time in UO, Crystal got a super cute dress and I got a top. On the way back towards the main part of the mall, we walked buy another store and I finally saw Rihanna shopping. She's pretty fierce, but we just kept on walking.

Crystal and I were iffy about the show starting at 9...we thought it was a misprint tbqh, so headed over to the box office to double check. It turns out it was the right time. I showed Crystal where we were sitting and she didn't think we were that close...lol, 8th row baby! Just as we are about to walk away, we spot Joel (who is part of the JB tour crew) walking from the casino part into the venue. We decided to stand around to see if we could see someone else walk on though..preferably famous.

About half an hour later we spot Benji. Maybe it was his full tat sleeves that gave him away, but if you don't know the Jonas touring crew, you will have no idea who I'm talking about. Crystal calls him over and she thanks him for getting her Greg's pick at the LA FnMTV gig, in which he states that he remembers her from. She shows him the Team Garbo bag that she made and he was legitimately into it. He tells us that he had been hanging out with Greg 'like all day' and Crystal freaks out a bit. After a bit, he tells us that he has to head in but if he sees Greg, we was going to tell him to come out and look for us.

By this time, Crystal is so excited we decide to stay there and wait around. Not too long into waiting we see Will.i.Am. He walks right by us and we do nothing. It really wasn't that exciting. About an hour into waiting around, Crystal spots John Taylor. She yells his name, and the three of us wonder toward each other. He says hi and Crystal tells him that she meet him back at the Rooney show. He thinks she is referring to both of us and I was like, "No, I was at the Demi show with another friend, but she was at the Rooney show" and he laughed. He did tell Crystal that she did look familiar and she was like, "Really? Do you remember my sign?" She takes out her infamous sign and by his face you can tell he remembers. Then JT goes, "Yep, we ALL know about that one". He tells us about how they talk into the secret mic onstage to tell each other things; ie about the sign back at the BU dates we went to. Crystal and I already knew about the mic but let him tell us about it so we don't seem creepy. He asks us if we were heading to the show that night and of course we say yes and we're in 8th row on Greg's side. He goes, "That's awesome. Glad you both got tickets. It was really hard for people to get tickets to this show."We ask if we can take some pictures with him and he said sure, but he needed to make a phone call first. He talks on the phone and once he's done he looks at this girl in a blue short dress that was completely drunk in the bar dancing with her friend and he goes, "Do you see that girl. She's a little out there..." We tell him she was there about an hour ago taking pictures and all over Will.i.Am and dancing up a storm with her friends. Then he tells us, "She looks like she's on drugs." We all laugh and take pictures before he heads in the venue.

We wait around some more until its almost time to open the doors. We ended up moving from our spot in front of the venue to in front of the casino since a line to get in was starting to form. After a bit longer of waiting, I start thinking that we aren't going to see Greg. Crystal starts to think the same thing since we still had to head to the car to put our bags away so I can change and we can freshing up a bit. A bit more time passes and Crystal turns to me looking a bit sad and goes, "We'll wait till 7:30 and if we don't find him I guess it's not meant to be. If it's not meant to be,then it isn't meant to be but I REALLY hope it's meant to be for me to meet him." While she is telling me this, I feel horrible for her since all she wanted to was meet him and take a picutre. As soon as she's done telling me, I look off towards the mall to see if I could find them and she looks off in a different direction. I guess when she looked away from me, she spots Greg and Jack. She turns towards me and goes, "OMG. OMG. Vanessa! It's Greg and Jack OMG OMG OMG." She takes off towards them calling them over. This was the moment she'd been waiting for, I wanted her to let her enjoy it so I gave her a second before I walked over towards them.

I let Crystal chat with Garbo a bit while Jack and I stood there. She showed him her sign and they laughed about that. Crystal told Jack that Becca runs Ninja Bear with X and he was like, "Oh ya! of course. Thank them for that" then Jack goes "Wait, what exactly is Ninja Bear, like why Ninja Bear?". It's just one of those things where you have to be there to get it but she tells him, "We went to almost all the California Burning Up dates and at the end of our trip we were all hanging out, and we were running on little sleep and we sort of just came up with it. You need to ask Becca for the whole story because she came up with it." Then Jack says, "Oh, so a little delusional maybe?" and we say "Well we just think the band is underrated so we thought you guys needed more recognition." I added, "You guys definitely don't get enough credit." Greg laughs and goes "Oh no, we're overrated, we're really not that good."

Crystal takes a few with Jack and Greg with her sign and then she tells Jack if he wouldn't mind if she took one with just Greg. Jack stands next to me and goes "Thats all she wanted isn't it?" I laughed and go "Um, yes...did you see her bag?" and he was like "Yes, and the button." I take a picture with Jack and Greg before we say our goodbyes.

While we were sitting waiting for the show to start we saw Lucy Hale and Ashley Newroughfrom the show Privileged and Kris Kirkpatrick; yeah that one guy with the weird hair from N*SYNC. We alse told the ladies behind us not to mind us during the first act aka Jonas since we would probably be the only ones in our area singing and dancing.

The concert itself was amazing. It was seriously one of the best shows that I had ever been to. Jonas was good, quick but short. They had like no fans there besides us. JT must have found us since he brought the house mic up closer to him and we noticed the band and the Jonai snuck glances our direction...al excpet JT who literally starred at us through their whole set. Leona Lewis was great, but she only did 3 songs; I didn't get it. Boyz II Men were there and I had no idea they were performing. I had a fangirl moment as was OMG OMG it's Boyz II Men minus that one tall guy. Thankfully Crystal had just as much love for them as me so we were here jamming out 80's style.

We both were enjoying ourseleves and then we realized that Jonas boys had been sitting on the sidestage watching us rock out. I didn't care since I was having a good time. Finally it was Justin's turn. I have always wanted to go to a Justin Timberlake concert, but I never had the chance. I was so excited to finally see him since I heard he was amazing on stage and he was. When 50 Cent came out to do Ayo Technology with him and Kevin let out his inner blackness with questionable dancing and doing that hand thing that rappers do. You could tell he didn't know the words at all, but it was classic. Those were definitely not 'pure' dance moves...lmao. Joe sat there bopping his head watching us and Nick was his -_- usual self. This pattern proceeded as two quarters did a few songs on his own, choosing songs that I of course knew, so I let out my inner rapper.

Justin brought out Adam Levine from Maroon 5 to do This Love here is a video of it (not mine but we were to the right & closer) and I have no idea what happened since I last saw them but he got so much hotter. He now has one full tattoo sleeve. After doing a few more songs, including Sexyback, (I guess he said that he was never going to do that song again live..I didn't hear him say that but Crystal did) Justin decided to slow it down and do a cover of 'Easy' I flipped a shit since I was literally the ONLY one in my area who made the instant connection. Lionel Richie came out and I did the 'OMG OMG OMG thing' again. Crystal's throat was hurting near the end of the show, but other than that it was a fantastic night.

The rest of the weekend was fun, but I wish I had more time there..maybe next time I guess

There are two things that I never talk about in public because they always seem to be touchy subjects with anyone: politics and religion. One of my co-workers, who is only a few years older than me decided that talking about Proposition 8 was a good idea and felt it was necessity to let the rest of us know why she was voting yes. Her reasoning? Just because. wtf. She had no support reasonings of her decision, and made hints towards the fact that she was only voting this way since this was how other people she knows are voting.

Same-sex marriages have been legal here since June of this year and I for one was beyond happy for California's decision of acceptance and recognition of these unions. The current state's discriminatory effort with Proposition 8 is extremely unfortunate. We aren't living in the past, we're living in the now & future.

If you are going to talk politics, back your shit up or STFD.

I haven't made a ~real post here in forever. I guess that's what I get for having a busy life

I've been writing papers, reading mounds of chapters, enough graphic projects to last me until I retire from whatever future job I have. This is probably the main reason I was hesitant about a double major...the work. :/ FML. Although all the homework is completely harsh, I tend to watch BBC and Palladia while I work. BBC is just your average British television network that I love and Palladia plays old music festivals/concerts like this years' Isle of Wight Festival or Glastonbury (which I will go to both one day), episodes of Soundstage and Unpulgged, it's magically wondrous.

The Twilight trailer got me a little giddy. It's been a good while since I finished Breaking Dawn so after seeing the trailer, so that little fix can hold me off until its opening.

I've finally made some time to see Eagle Eye with a movie hop over to see Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist this weekend. I heard they are both good so I'm pretty stoked. The movie theater hopping is easy to do when you go to the one theater that currently employs my former high school classmates. Movies and ICEEs are the best combo ever.

Hanson is playing a concert next month at a local venue. I've never seen them in concert before so I'm hyped. Big musicians never really come to the local venues, so it will be nice to drive only 15 minutes away to see a gig instead of the hour drive journeys. Tickets were cheap and I used to go the that venue in middle school all the time, so I'll be reliving a lot of middle school memories.

I leave for Vegas in less than an week. I've never been before so it will be pretty cool to finally make a venture out there to see those ~Vegas Skies. Yeah, I went there. Crystal and I will be seeing Jonas and everyone else performing with a little bit of stalking added to the mix. The were checking out a music festival the next day with Metro Station and Secondhand Serenade. It will be a good weekend :)

I keep seeing the trailer or some kind of commerical for High School Musical 3. I've never been a fan of that whole franchise, but the constant visuals from that movie is making me kinda want to see it. DNW. :/

I really want this ikimono 110 camera.

Camera is only 1.5” closed and it has a key ring detail. I love toy cameras and this one in particular is so rad. It's a toss up between the red hedgehog or the pink squirrel camera. The only thing I'm worried about is how much 110 film would cost me.

My dad and I have been bonding over sports. It's always been something that we've shared ever since he coached my first year of basketball. I went to the last few 49ner home football games with him and watching baseball playoffs. Maybe it's the Coronas that I consume during the games but I fully enjoy my quality dad time.

My birthday is on Wednesday. I feel so old....

The weather has changed here; the temperature has dropped, the leaves on our trees are changing colours, and the wind is picking up. It's fall weather and I'm loving every second. I'm not fully sure about what makes Fall so amazing here. Maybe its the feeling of wearing a snuggly sweater as the wind blows my hair everywhere or it could be the addictive cider my mom makes.

I feel like I haven't talked to a lot of you (you know who you are) in a while. I miss you all!!!

The VMAs sucked like always..wait I take that back, they were badass in the 90's and early 00's.

I laughed at Russell Brand sometimes and sometimes I didn't because some of his material was funny and some of it just wasn't. Britney looked smokin', Pink's performance was ridic, and Jonas' performance was cute, but I expected something more/better from them, oh well.

I don't get at all why all the teenies are butt-hurt about the boys not winning. It was cool to see them nominated, but I don't care that they didn't win. Honestly, it's a good thing that they didn't. They seem like they kind of expect to win at all of the teen things they go to. Maybe this will give them a bit of a reality check.

MTV I do have to give you props for getting the ratings up this year by adding Jonas to just about everything and getting me kinda of sick of them right now.

IDC if you don't agree, this is just the way I feel okai?

So I obviously have not updated in like...decades, but I was busier over the summer than I expected. Seriously, I thought the only thing I was going to do was go on my two week Jonas trip and then just have a chill summer but I was wrong. Here is a highlight reel of how it went up to this point.

JULY:
-Everything up to the 6th of July was a blur. I was getting ready to leave for LA okai?!?
-I went to LA for a week and had a great time. Lots of shopping and sight seeing. Visiting Santa Monica was short but it was fun. I definitely need to go back again. I meet Becca and Karina for the first time and they are both so fabulous. We went to the City Walk, to the Jonas house (yes, the actual house where they live) to go for a walk, and Karina and Becca got to meet ~Zac Efron & Hannah Montana. Good times.
-I went to the FnMTV where Katy Perry performed. I was in the pit and had my 30 seconds of fame. You might have seen me on TV during her 'I Kissed A Girl' performance since I was standing in the pit.
-I did my Jonas road trip across California to see then 4 times. IDC if you think I'm too old or crazy because IDGAF. I got to meet Crystal, Vanessa, Xochil, and Kelly. I love all of them so much. I also meet some random CUFers here and there. Kelly and Crystal wond M&Gs with the boys. They saw Kelly's Kiley and the face buttons and Kevin and Joe took pictures. I met the rad people who work for Verizon during the tour. Instead of watching Demi Lovato's set, I spent it hanging with Britton and Jim (two of the VW team) and it was amazing. I made so many memories with these girls, that if I were to talk about them all, I'd bee here forever.
-I was able to snag tickets to the Jonas appearance on FnMTV a week later. I flew down for the show and enjoyed my alone time in the hotel. Peace and quiet is good for a girl here and there. I was in the pit again and had another 30 seconds of fame. I made eye contact with jailbait and had Kevin crotch in my face.That night went to a Demi Lovato gig later that night with Karina. Jonas was there at the show. Everyone was taking pictures of them. BTH, I felt bad for them. All they wanted to do was enjoy their time off and watch their tour mate but no. I'd flip a bitch if I were them.

AUGUST:
-Breaking Dawn came out. It was okai but it gave me a newfound outlook on Jacob. I hated the kid during the other books, but not this one. :)
-The Jonas record finally dropped and it's amazing. My personal favourites are Can't Have You & Video Girl. Really the whole record is wonderful, but those stick out to me. I was a little sad how they butchered A Little Bit Longer with obvious over-producing they did on the track. Leaving it raw & organic like the stripped version would have been ideal, but that didn't happen.
-Bernie Mac & Issac Hayes both died. So sad.
-I found a Frankie Jonas blog that is so full of win. Every entry cracks me up to no end. I love it.
- I got a hold on Jack's Mannequin's new record....OMG. I have no words. I have so much love for JM and Andrew.
-Gwen Stefani finally had her baby. It felt like she was pregnant for god knows how long. She named her son Zuma...creative, but the jury is still out on that one.
-School started for me on the 18th. DNW.

The summer went by so fast. I didn't like that at all.

I haven't made an entry on this blog, but I have been keeping up with my livejournal one...AWKWARD so I'm going to do one big entry with small little ones in it too :)

[6.21.08]Camp Rock debuted yesterday (6.20). Way to overamp something Diz, I mean really. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but it wasn't as bad either. It was full of cheese, just the way that Diz likes it. Highlight of the movie. Demi looking like a newborn giraffe while she danced during her performance at the Final Jam.

I learned a few things from this movie too:
1.That STARRING THE JONAS BROTHERS actually means: Joe Jonas and 10 min. of Kevin & Nick
2. Even if you lie your ass off, you will still come out on top and have the best summer of your 15 year old life.
3. Nate & Jason hide in bushes and helps you seduce girls by adding back-up vocals secretly while you're a camp.
4. Shane gray stole tess's lipgloss and that's why her's is ~*~sooooo not glossy anymore.
5. Your tongue is often blue BEFORE you lick the blue frosting on the cupcake.
6. You make bird houses in a music camp
7. If you're passing on a secret, make sure to use the hand on which you have a purity ring and display it for the world to see
8. Payback is two words.
10. Bad acting does exsist.

On the plus side the BU video is funny as hale and we made cupcakes. Check out mine inspired by Kevin's character :) because we all know that he and his character MADE THE MOVIE.

We all know that Kev is my favorite, but Joe got the best part in the video, NGL. Be jealous I'm seeing them on tour four times. holla.

[6.24.08] The fires that are still going on over in Napa are causing the smoke to come right through Rosa. The smoke and ash yesterday were tolerable but today its worse; it's like I'm currently living a in a snowglobe full of smoke. My mom called me earlier to see if we wanted to meet up for lunch, which I agreed to. Since the place she wanted to go to is around the corner from my dad's office, I waited outside for her to pick me up and I started coughing. I now have a headace and my throat hurts a bit from inhaling the smoke. MEH.

Hopefully they can contain it all soon.

Out of all the years that American Idol has been on I have NEVER watched until this season. This I watched for two reasons..well 3.

1. David Cook AKA Cookie
2. Jason Castro..but he got eliminated :/
3. to laugh at Fetus...AKA Archie

David Cook won and it was too cute for words. He cried. aww

Also on the show...my bb Kevin and his bros Joe and Nick. I'm not sure what was going on with Kevin's guitar, apparently its LV-esque with the JB logo, but he looked too fierce for words so I can forgive the guitar. I loved Joe's suit but I'm still on the fence about the shirt. Nick looked good, but the look is getting old since I see it all the time.

They all got hair cuts even JT, yes I did notice JT...I like the long hair better on Nick and Kev, but IDK about Joe's....its looking very Florence Henderson-like in this shot.

Today I also went to buy the CR single thing at Target. My intention was also to get the new People JB special edition mag, but they didn't have it. So then I went to Safeway since I had to pick up a few things...and they too didn't have it. UGH.

I just finished my last class final today, making me officially done with school. I was on a happy high for about 2 hours...then it went away after I got a call from my sister.

I recently found out that a good friend of mine from high school died in a car accident yesterday. Given that I did graduate from high school in 2004, and its been 4 years since I have seen him, and I'm not crying because I think I'm still in shock and unsure about what to feel. My mind is in a blur and I've been starring in space for the past hour. I did find an article about it from our newspaper, but I'm still all mixed up with emotions.
